Dr. Ke Guan and Dr. Danping He attended EuCAP 2019 in Krakow, Poland. Two convened sessions were successfully held, and one of our papers was nominated by the Best paper award in propagation.

Dr. Ke Guan and Prof. Uwe-Carsten Fiebig jointly organized the 5th convened session “Propagation Channels for Wide-Sense Vehicle-to-X Communications” in EuCAP 2019. More than 80 people attended and 11 papers were presented. This is the 5th time that we successfully host the convened session of the same topic in EuCAP. More and more researchers are attracted to this session, which leads to fruitful contributions and discussions.

This year, the convened session “Assessment and modelling of antennas and radio channels jointly” was held for the first time in EuCAP 2019. Motivated by the spirit of connecting antenna and radio channel researches together, Dr. Ke Guan and Prof. Alain Sibille jointly organized this event. Interesting works from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, China Academy of Telecommunication Research, University of Twente, Spirent Communications, Ghent University & IMEC, and Aalto University, were presented in this session.

Our paper entitled "Channel Characterization for mmWave Vehicle-to-Infrastructure Communications in Urban Street Environment" was nominated by the best paper award in Propagation, which ranked top 5 among more than 300 papers in propagation area. Dr. Danping He presented the work in the poster award session.
