China Unicom held the establishment ceremony of the “High-Frequency Communication Joint Innovation Laboratory” at the China National Convention Center on October 16, 2020. Nearly 30 units in the industry, academia, and research areas such as the State Key Lab of Rail Traffic Control & Safety (Beijing Jiaotong University), China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, China Unicom Research Institute, as well as Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, GSMA, Huawei, ZTE, Ericsson, Nokia Bell, Datang Mobile, Purple Mountain Laboratories and Qualcomm attended this establishment ceremony.

The Vehicular Technology Society (VTS) Conference in Honolulu/USA was held on 24th September 2019. Prof. Ke Guan, Prof. Bo Ai, Dr. Bile Peng, Dr. Danping He, Dr. Guangkai Li, Dr. Jingya Yang, Prof. Zhong and Prof. Dr. Thomas Kürner were awarded the Neal Shepherd Award of the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society.

From August 8th to 11th, 2019, the 2019 International Conference of International Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society was held in Nanjing. The conference was hosted by ACES and Nanjing University of Science and Technology, together with other universities, research institutes and companies. In the conference, Dr. Danping He from the State Key Laboratory of Rail Transit Control and Safety of BJTU, obtained the "Young Scientist Award" after being recommended and selected by the award committee of the conference.

Dr. Ke Guan and Dr. Danping He attended EuCAP 2019 in Krakow, Poland. Two convened sessions are successfully held, and one of our papers is nominated by Best paper award in propagation.

The paper "Measurements-Based Research on Correlation of MIMO Channel in High-Speed Scenario" obtained the best paper award at the 16th International Conference on Intelligent Transport Systems Telecommunications.

Dr. Ke Guan and Dr. Danping He are invited to give presentations in the workshop “5G Systems & millimeter wave communications in Smart Public Transport” of the 48th European Microwave Week (EuMW 2018), in Madrid, Spain.

Dr. Danping He is visiting Centre for Wireless Communications CWC in University of Oulu, and giving the intensive course on high-performance ray-tracing technologies during 20th-24th August. Around 20 lovely creative and diligent students have participated in the course.

BJTU and German Aerospace Center (DLR) jointly organized the convened session “Propagation Channels for Wide-Sense Vehicle-to-X Communications” in EuCAP 2018. More than 80 people attended and 10 papers are presented.

The paper "User Association and Backhaul Bandwidth Allocation for 5G Heterogeneous Networks in the Millimeter-Wave Band" obtained the best paper award at the 2017 IEEE/CIC International Conference on Communication in China, in which the award ratio was only 0.18%.
